Dish Description+

Some meals feel like an occasion even when it’s just a Tuesday. Our Peri Peri Whole Chicken is one of those. We start with fresh chicken, pat it dry, and massage in a house peri peri marinade that’s bright with citrus and layered with garlic, paprika, and a hint of smoke. The bird rests until the seasoning sinks deep, then it goes over the grill—skin blistering and turning bronze while the meat stays tender.

You pick the heat: keep it Lemon & Herb for a clean, zesty finish or push to Extra Hot if you like a slow, satisfying burn. Either way, the flavour sits nicely on the tongue without drowning out the chicken. Ask for it carved or served whole; both ways keep the juices where they belong.

Round it out your way—spicy rice, seasoned fries, coleslaw, corn on the cob, or a simple salad. A pot of Garlic Mayo, Peri BBQ, or Hot Chilli never hurts. Portions are generous: ideal for two very hungry people or a laid-back share for three to four. As with all of our peri peri, we use Zabiha Halal chicken.

Whether you’re eating in, grabbing takeaway, or setting the table at home, this is unfussy, big-flavour food that lands warm, smoky, and ready to pull apart.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) +

Q: How many people does the Peri Peri Whole Chicken serve?
A: Comfortably serves two very hungry people; three to four if you’re adding plenty of sides.

Q: Can I choose different spice levels for each half?
A: We season the whole bird one way for consistency. If you need two heats, we recommend adding peri peri sauce pots on the side.

Q: Can you carve the chicken before it leaves the kitchen?
A: Absolutely. Ask for it carved and we’ll portion it into easy pieces for sharing.

Q: Which sides pair best with a hot spice level?
A: Spicy rice and coleslaw balance heat well; garlic mayo or peri BBQ on the side adds cooling and sweetness.

  • Gluten: possible in fries (shared equipment), crumbed items, some sauces or spice blends.
  • Dairy: present in coleslaw and creamy dips (e.g., garlic mayo); butter may be used on some sides like corn on request.
  • Eggs: mayonnaise-based sauces and some dressings contain egg.
  • Soy: may appear in certain marinades, seasoning bases, or sauces.
  • Mustard: common in peri peri and table sauces.
  • Celery: can be used in stock powders/seasonings and rice.
  • Sulphites: may be present in pickled items, bottled sauces, and some spice mixes.

Cross-contact: Grills, fryers, and prep areas are shared. We clean and separate where possible, but cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Please speak to us before ordering so we can suggest the safest options and prepare accordingly.
